About Our Nannies
Joanna’s Nannies provides exceptional nannies and babysitters for date nights, back-up childcare, vacation nanny services, weddings and corporate events. Our responsible childcare providers care for your children at your residence, vacation home, hotel or event venue. Our nannies have experience with children of all ages and many have also taken our infant workshop to become an infant specialist.
We employ our nannies so you can have the peace of mind of having a legal and professional caregiver without the hassles of being an employer yourself. We handle all the insurance, workers comp and taxes for you. In addition, we have a vigorous screening process that includes an FBI background check, finger printing, references checks and a personal interview.
Meet the Team
Joanna | Owner
Joanna has cared for children for almost 15 years and still works with them on a daily basis. She has worked as a professional nanny in many capacities and now focuses on newborns in her work as a postpartum doula and newborn care specialist. She also works with many families on an occasional basis to help with transitions, sleep training, and travel nanny services. Joanna loves working with children and families and especially enjoys helping during the early stages as well as traveling with many of her previous clients.
Jolene | Director of Operations
Jolene is a new mother and discovered Joanna’s Nannies as a newborn care client, working with Joanna for the care of her son. Jolene has fifteen years of professional experience in program development, recruitment and team building, account management, and event planning. She is passionate about the services that Joanna’s Nannies provides and enjoys working with our various clientele to ensure all of the many details for childcare are fulfilled with care and precision.
Marlena | Booking Specialist
Marlena is a mother of two and has over 10 years experience in childcare. She has worked as a nanny with Joanna’s Nannies since the start of the company in 2011. In 2016, Marlena took over the role as Booking Manager. She currently resides in Sonoma County she is very familiar with the beautiful wine country and the many venues we work with there. Marlena is happy to assist our clients in booking services and providing experienced, professional nannies.
Jessica | Office Assistant
Jessica has been in the industry for over fifteen years. She started as a sitter, then became a professional nanny, and now works as a postpartum doula and sleep trainer in addition to assisting with the day to day operations of Joanna’s Nannies. She received her BS in Human Development and Family Studies at Colorado State University after serving in the US Navy. Her mission is to provide support for families and make a positive influence on children’s outcomes.
